According to a report by Piper Jaffray, Snapchat and Instagram are the most popular platforms among the younger generation. In the report, around 8,600 young people with an average age of 16 from 48 US states were asked about their social network usage behavior.

Snapchat is the number one among young people. Followed by Instagram. However, the trend for Facebook continues to fall. If you compare the figures from 2016 and 2018, the use of Facebook – 60% back then – fell to 36%.

In conclusion, it can be seen that products for the younger target group should be advertised via the social networks Snapchat and Instagram. Snapchat has proven to be particularly clever. Young people prefer the Snap version of Snapchat rather than the story tool from the latecomer Facebook.
